Let me introduce myself!
I am Tracy Fredman, principal of the Wellston Middle and High Schools. I hold a Bachelor and Master of Arts in English education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Doctorate in Education from Oklahoma State University. Before coming to Wellston as an administrator, I taught middle school English in Elk City for a year and then middle and high school English here at Wellston from 1987 to 1997. After that, I taught HS English at Chandler for three years and went on to finish a year of graduate teaching at Oklahoma State University. The next five years I spent working for the Oklahoma State Regents for High Education as the Title II education grant program coordinator where we devised a teacher education program evaluation tool to use with resident year teachers. I then took a 6 year position with the Oklahoma Technical Assistance Center in the field of education evaluation. I now have the wonderful job and a professional goal of mine of working as an administrator with your children!
Personally, I have two daughters who graduated from Wellston schools. Alex is now teaching science and is an assistant high school basketball coach in North Carolina. Mariah is attending Oklahoma State University. I enjoy relaxing with my family, walking, and working on home improvement projects.
